This also could be titled: The One Where PETA Flips the Fuck Out.

Models are pieces of meat? I guess Tyra thinks a little too literally with this one. She had them literally wear meat. I am completely surprised no one started crying because they are vegetarian or vegan. It was pretty awful watching.

Before we get to that, the girls have walking lesson with Ms. Jay. A lot of these girls can’t walk. Off the top of my head, Amis, Fatima, Lauren stick out the most. Then we have our resident sexpot, Katarzyna. She won the walking challenge, but I think her walk is too bouncy. If only I had Paint on my MacBook, I’d be drawing all over this picture pointing out the firefighters’s expressions. You know their wives and girlfriends hate Tyra so much for this shit.

Also, every time the girls get a Tyra Mail, we all get a little dumber. We lose brain cells. What was wrong with one girl reading the note from Tyra from a piece of paper? Now we have ” da da da da da da da da LOOOOOVE TYRA!” in unison and super slow.

Anyway, on to the photo shoot! Like I said, it was all about meat. They took the girls to the meat packing district and dressed them in meat. Seriously, I was grossed out and I’m not even vegetarian. Who really wants to walk around dressed in meat? Ick. It wasn’t even a cool idea for a photo shoot.


My girl Aimee was having a rough time with this shoot. I was disappointed. I’m hoping the next one is better because I don’t want her to go home.


Anya still freaks me out. I don’t like her. The photo isn’t bad but I’m just not a fan.

I really thought Claire’s hair would grown on me, but I’m still not liking it. This photo looks nothing like her though. It’s good but I think she looks a little dead in the eyes.


Dominique is still a 50 year old tranny even with her new hair color. I don’t care what anyone says. NEXT!


Kat (I’m going to call her Kat because her name is so freaking long) is curtsying with her cute little meat skirt. Photo is still good, even if she is kind of slutty.


Lauren can’t walk for shit but she sure can take a photo. Gorgeous. She does look like she’s about to go all I Know What You Did Last Summer on someone though with that hook. She is still my favorite. I LOVE her!


Still don’t like Marvita. I can’t wait until they send her home. I still think she looks like a dude.


Stacy Ann is pretty boring and annoying. I think she needs to go already too.


Whitney! I completely forgot her until I already had posted it. I’m kind of loving Whitney too. This photo is really good.


The second coming of Iman! Bitch, please. This girl can’t walk, can’t take photos and is a total bitch. I don’t care what she’s gone through, that’s no reason to keep her around. She was in bottom two this week.


Amis reminds me of Lisa D’Amato from the cycle where Nicole one, both looks wise and just the way they act. Amis was more endearing annoying while Lisa was plain stupid annoying. Amis couldn’t walk and all her pictures were not good so it was definitely time for her to leave. I really wish the would have sent home Fatima though too. She is just as bad.

Overall I thought this episode was pretty boring, minus their bickering as Jenn said when I talked to her about it.

    I love Kat (thank you so much for shortening her name) and Whitney. I hate hate hate Fatima, Marvita and Stacy Ann.

    I’ve always had a not so secret desire to be on this show. I was very sad when I realized I was no longer eligible on my 27th birthday. Anyway…if i did ever get on, I would have totally been kicked off this episode because I would not have been able to wear a meat bikini, sorry no. There is only one kind of meat that gets near my bikini area, and it’s not dead cow.

    Okay, we have basically the same opinions about ANTM.

    I ABHOR THAT SCROLLING TYRA MAIL. Was it just me or was there entirely too much screaming in last night’s episode? Holy crap.

    I love Claire, Lauren, Whitney. I despise Dominique. And Marvita – her nostrils bother me!! And Stacy Ann’s voice irks me to no end.

    I am not gonna lie, I had to stop watching when I saw the sewed up pieces of meat. I am not a vegetarian anymore, but just the thought of that made me want to hurl. I did think they were super hard on Lauren and the crying, really? If she could only translate her pic taking abilities to the runway!

    And I am with you on the Tyra mail, it makes my eyes hurt to try to read it over the TV. Booo.

    Thank you! I’m so glad I’m not the only one annoyed to shit by the Reading of the Tyra Mail. Good lord! Why on earth was that deemed necessary?

    As for the girls – love Lauren and Whitney. Even though I wasnt a huge fan of Amis, I wish they had sent home Fatima. I’m just so tired of her picking out someone new each week to blame everything on. (ex – Poor Allison. Sure she was a major bitch, but it’s practically girlcode not to call someone fat to their face. Shit way to respond about an eating disorder too.) Ugh. So ready for Fatima to go home.

    Um, can I just say that I love your updates? Like, really really. Because I have this problem where I can’t watch the show unless I’m watching the cycle in it’s entirety (I don’t think that’s a word?) on MTV. I get too anxious. So! This is perfect for me, ’cause I can see the girls and the shoots and not get ridiculously anxious. Somehow. I’m rambly. Thank you! :) Haha, long day.

    You are in my mind. First, my roommates and I kept saying how disappointed we were by the lack of vegetarian tears during this meat shoot. I feel the producers were probably upset too. They live for that stuff.

    Also, I decided that if I lived in that house, I would pull that stupid Tyra Mail ticker off the wall and smash it with my firsts. One of them is going to get sick of their kindergarden reading tactics soon. I hope.

    I’m also loving Whitney. Hopefully, they won’t get rid of her in a few weeks telling her she’s lost herself, when they really just think she is too fat. Oh well.

    What an awful episode! I don’t know why they had to do the whole meat thing – surely there were other ways of showing how new models get treated like a hunk of meat without draping carcasses over them?

    I am beginning to really love Whitney – she’s really proving herself, whereas in the past I’ve found the plus-size models acting like they’ve got a chip on their shoulders, and resigned to the fact that they won’t make it to the end. If Whitney continues the way she’s been going, she’s got a good chance at being in the top three, in my opinion.

    And Dominique? Oh my god, she gets uglier and older and grannier every time I see her! WHY is she still there?!?!!?!

    Sadly the overdose on meat was cow carcass and not the beefy firefighters from the start of the episode. I’m putting my bets on Claire, Whitney and Kat if she can avoid the mail-order-bride syndrome that made Natasha so creepy two seasons ago.

    In the topmodel community on livejournal, someone posted the pics from this episode, and I looked at them even though I hadn’t watched the episode yet (don’t have cable, so I wait for youtube). The girl put that there was no photo for Amis, so I was like, “OMG! I wonder if Amis refused to do the shoot!” I was disappointed that wasn’t the case.

    Whitney looks like she’s wearing a meat diaper.

    That girl on LJ also put up a picture of the editorial spread that inspired the shoot. It’s hard to tell, but I don’t think that model was wearing meat halter tops.

    This is ridiculous. Last Cycle Tyrant was all about being green (for like two episodes), and now she does this? WTF.

I cant believe they did that, ususally if it has something to do with meat, leather or fur the models need to approve. oh my Gosh I cant get over how fucked up this shoot is, and havent even seen the episodes, neither am i a vegan. still this is over the line. I am tempted to actually write hate mail for the first time.

    GAH I almost read this by accident before I watched the epid.

    Aynway finally watched it. Fatima’s crying in the bottom 2 made me want to punch her. Amis was a fun person to have on the show (terrible model) so I was sad to see her go. Lauren is my girl.
