enough is enough

I’m done talking fictional, albeit ridiculously sexy, vampires*. For now at least**.

Anyway, I have business to take care of. Business of the awesome kind. I’m looking at you, Chicago people.

Friday, I met up with a huge group of 20something bloggers and we took over Quartino and later Streeters. No seriously, there was like 18 of us and name tags were involved***. There was beer pong at a bar? I might be one of the only 20somethings who has never played beer pong ever and uh, love you guys but I’m not sure I care to.

So yeah, it was a great night so now I think we should do it again! I’m filling up your calendar. I have three events coming up that I will be at and this means you should too.

First, we have another fabulous Gal’s Guide event on December 5th. This one will be at Banana Republic on Michigan Avenue. We will enjoy gift bags, hair styling by Maxine Salons, personalized shopping assistance, goodie bags and most importantly a 25% discount all night! If that doesn’t make you want to go, I don’t know what will. Check out the flyer and RSVP on Facebook.  Then after we can go get drinks or something!

Next up, on December 9th is the winter CRAVE Party at the Chicago Cultural Center.

Knock out some more of that holiday shopping with some local and green vendors! Use code ‘galsguide5‘ to get $5 off your ticket in. What else do you get for $15:

  • Appetizers
  • Drinks
  • A One Year Subscription to Time Out Chicago Magazine
  • Eco-friendly reusable Yelp shopping tote (for the first 300 guests)

Okay, this next one, you boys are invited to: Windy City Social Social Media Networking Event and Holiday Bash. Is that a mouthful or what? Whatever, it’s going to be awesome. I will be there, you should be there, we can all talk what we know best – Social Media.

* Sorry, Edward baby, ILU and your hair is still totally hot
** I mean, tomorrow is another day though so who knows?
*** I totally looked like I was groping myself the whole night. My name tag kept coming off my chest and getting stuck in my hair. Instead of moving it, I just kept up what looked to be boob groping but really name tag arranging.

I, also, have never played beer pong.

I have a lame work party on the 5th or I would be all over the Gal’s Guide event.

Are these all 21 and up events? Because I’m really interested in the first two, if they aren’t. Let me know!

You make me want to live in Chicago SO BADLY! We should plan a mid-point even in Madison or something… somewhere where Minne bloggers like me can meet up with the Chi-town crew!

Yay for Chicago! All those events sound so fun….I just wish my December wasn’t so ridiculously busy. I’d love to go to the Gal’s Guide party, but that’s the night of my company party. Bummer. I guess I’ll just have to wait until January, when it’s absolutely freezing and nothing fun ever happens…can’t wait!

I wish I lived in Chicago! Halifax has a few great bloggers, which I’m excited to meet up with again, but we need more awesome bloggers like you here. You should just transplant every awesome Chicago blogger to Canada. Bring your awesome events, too, because that Crave Party sounds like fun.

I wish I lived in a bigger city – never mind the heaven that Chicago must be! This kind of stuff just never happens here. Enjoy!

those events sound super fun! maybe i’ll get to hang out with the fabulous jamie after all….I may go to Gals Guide, Windy City Social or the Crave Party (maybe all!) though the WIndy City event is in the AON building, which gives me creepy flashbacks since I used to work for AON and they laid me off! :(

I was very sad to have missed meet-up night. I had a great birthday weekend, though!
