oh hey! remember me?

January 23rd, 2009 at 1:38 pm . Posted in giveaway, internin' .

Obviously, I’ve been busy with The Printed Blog. Putting together a newspaper seriously takes time away from personal internet time so both of my blogs and twitter have been seriously lacking.

My own reader?

Forget it.

I’ve seen the dreaded and panic inducing (1000+) for the past couple of weeks. I apologize for not being as visible as I usually  am. You guys know normally, I’m all up in everything and everywhere all the time!

Well now that our first issue has been pieced together, things will get easier. Instead of building from the ground up, we have a foundation and that is a relief. We officially launch The Printed Blog on Tuesday. It’s not even out yet and I’m thinking of ways to improve, make things flow more smoothly and stay more organized next time around.

Next time around if we are well received, that is!

It’s not any surprise to anyone if you follow me on Twitter, exactly how frazzled and nervewracked I’ve been the past few weeks. Working two jobs is exhausting. It wouldn’t be so bad if I didn’t have such long hours at job number one and was working on a deadline on job number two.

It will all pay off though – one way or another.

(Did you see me in The New York Times yesterday? Oh wait…you can’t see me all the way in the back. Trust me though, it is me and I’m not claiming to be some random  stranger. At least the photographer caught me smiling with my eyes, you just can’t see it.)

I’ll write more about The Printed Blog next week. I just wanted to let you all know I’m alive.

(and to tell you to go enter the giveaway for an iPod Touch at TPB’s blog and my giveaway for some fabulous green beauty products over on Oh How Lovely Shops.)

For now, since I’m behind on EVERYTHING, what’s been going on? New job? Buy something pretty? Suggestions on the fancy smancy, well deserved drink I will get once we launch? Feeling sick? Read a good book? Oscar predictions? Thoughts on the new Real World cast? (Yes, that’s how behind I am)

Talk to me! I feel out of the loop!

You are one busy bee! I think you’ll need a nice tall drink, followed by some sort of spa service after all this completed.

I have been reading a very good book: Three Cups of Tea. Love it! And can’t wait for the movie He’s Just Not That Into You that comes out in February.

Hope you have a restful weekend. You deserve it!

the real world cast is pretty interesting – there are 8 of them but i haven’t been able to figure out why. my trainer and pilates instructor is an ex-cast member of real world key west and he loves the new cast. i guess that’s a good thing? so far nothing interesting has happened though. i’m waiting for the fights and drunken breakdowns.

there’s your real world update :)

    hello!!!

I will finish tonight (arghh almost read the final page while at lunch today!): A Tree Grows in Brooklyn. I know it’s a classic and everyone’s read it but I hadn’t. Am glad I read it now in light of our current economy. I’m reading a library copy but may buy a copy to have on hand.

I too am looking forward to seeing He’s Just Not That Into You. I read the book, loved it, and now can’t wait for the movie. I don’t see many movies that discuss all the ways you can use technology to grow closer to, stalk or stay away from someone – or fall in love.

I am going to see Benjamin Button this weekend. Way after everyone else has seen it. Maybe Marley & Me too. And, I have to admit, I want to see Mall Cop. Kevin James makes me laugh.

We all miss you but understand completely. As far as updated: I have an absessed tooth (ouch) and ear infection (ouch), booked a trip to Cuba on a whim with the bff for March, and at 28 have learned I still can’t swallow pills.

Have a drink, a long warm bath and hit the “mark all as read” button :)

The most exciting thing I’ve discovered in the last couple of weeks? Whereas flights from Minneapolis to Chicago (round trip) were over $600 last summer, they’re back down to normal levels of just over $100. I found one the other day for $104!!! 20sb meetup?! Hell yeah! I can only imagine they’re going down from other parts of the country as well, and hopefully stay that way until June!

Congrats on all the success at TPB! It’s been so great to read about everything and I did catch you in the NYT! That is so amazing! I can’t wait to see it unveil!

I have no life right now, yet I’m still behind on my google reader, so I can’t even believe how you are getting online at all with everything you have going on!

Right now, I’m blaming Stephenie Meyer, as I’ve been reading “New Moon” all morning instead of blogs, which is ironic because I wouldn’t be reading it if it wasn’t for the constant Edward Cullen talk in November on all the blogs I read. At least I can understand the hype now! Thanks for that, and good luck with TPB launch! It’s going to be amazing :)

Your body language seem to express that you are smiling as well. Maybe at an inside joke that only you and three other people get. One of those people live in Brazil, and you are thinking of the sun there. And the hot chi– er, no, that’s me. PTI. Anyway, so you are relaxed and thinking of Brazil, but also terrified and frazzled. Which reminds you are an X-Files episide for some reason, and then of Fox Mulder. And the goofy crush you had on him. And your eyes smile.
