30 day shredding it

May 12th, 2009 at 4:33 pm . Posted in body image, weight loss .

A few days, errr…. okay, FINE months ago, I picked up a copy of this 30 Day Shred nonsense.

Basically, it’s been sitting on top of my dvd player for way too long. So I figure if I write about doing it, I have to do it. Or I’m a big lying fakey McFakerson.

The size of my ass depends on each and every one of you.

(No pressure.)

You all are keeping my accountable whether you like it or not.

(Is it possible to cheat at The Shred? Would I see 30 Day Shrediness if I did it twice a day for two weeks?)

Let’s do this. Make me look fierce, Jillian. I want an ass like Gaga.

(I predict a post announcing my death from being Shredded tomorrow.)

You have inspired me. After all, I do have a wedding dress to fit into. I’ve seen this all over the place. I’m doing it. Although I’ll need my blog to keep me on track, lol.

I’ve heard so many incredible things about The Shred! Well, at least, I’ve heard people pumped about it for the first week-or-so. Heehee. You can totally do it, though – best of luck to you, my dear! Way to be motivated! You sexy thang. :)

Also, am I the only one who is deeply disturbed by how much Jillian Michaels looks like a man? I really have no desire to look like her. Now, if they had a Jennifer Aniston 30 Day Shred, I’d be all over that mess. Heehee.

I’m doing the 30 Day Shred, and let me assure you, she means business! 20 minutes each day is pretty easy to fit in. I get really annoyed with her demeanor and the way she talks, but this video has helped me to break through my plateau I’ve been fussing about for, oh, the past 5 months!

I just started it a couple days ago. First of all – DO NOT START WITH 5 POUND WEIGHTS. That sh*t will mess you up for days. I did it in the morning the first time and I could feel the soreness work its way into different parts of my body for the rest of the day. Which was actually kind of cool. (Was that scary? – it’s not meant to be.) The point is… I’m right there with you. :)

Jamie, blogging about my attempt to lose weight definitely helped me be successful. There is definitely something to be said for wanting to be accountable to your blogger friends!

I hear the 30-day shred is hard, but I know you can do it. Good luck!

I have this and did it for a couple days, and it totally kicked my ass and thrashed my foot. So I had to stop doing it until my foot got better. Now that I’m better, I hesitate to start again… but I know I will soon. You will feel badass after doing it though, trust me. Badass and sore!

Since everyone is hyping it up so much, I’d totally try it if I hadden’t just spent $800 on an elliptical…

Maybe I’ll make Queens do it and she can fill you all in and then when the “shiny ooh ahh” factor on my elliptical has worn off I’m get my ass kicked by Jillian…

ha, i posted about the 30-day plan i’m doing and i had someone comment on how they were disturbed by my love of “cuppies” and all the bad eating i do, and that i need to keep a youthful caboose.

    that was weird.

good luck!!! did you start yesterday, then?

Once I move into my house, I’m hoping to start this with my mom. I don’t know if we’ll be able to do it for thirty days in a row (I was thinking 45 days, so we could have some breaks), but we’re gonna do it!

Good luck! Keep us updated on the progress.

“I want an ass like Gaga” OMG, I laughed out loud, because “Gaga” is what I call my grandmother (not that she doesn’t look great, but…)

Ugh. I guess I should stop being a wus and go buy this DVD. It’s not even that expensive! How are we going to know that you’re really doing it? Are you going to post before & after pics? ;)

    Good luck!

Girls night is best with a chick flick, freshly popped popcorn (not microwaved), a comfy couch, a friend or 2 and a diet coke. A side of chocolate always adds a nice touch ;0)

I hate Jillian. I think she has a potty mouth and cannot control her anger. It’s like she’s on steroids. If she ever talked to me the way she talks to the people on Biggest Loser I’d taze her.
